This Land Matters
Our mission is to preserve and restore natural ecosystems through responsible stewardship, education, and community engagement ensuring that native habitats and wildlife thrive for generations to come.
Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve is an oasis of wildlife habitat, with portions considered globally significant by the Department of Natural Resources. The preserve, much of it formed on ancient beach dunes and wet swales, provides a haven for wildlife and people.
Woodland Dunes contains 1,500 acres of hardwood & conifer forests, wetlands, and prairies located between Two Rivers and Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
Woodland Dunes offers year-round education opportunities for all ages. From guided walks on the trails, family and children’s programming and adult classes, our programs spark curiosity and cultivate a deeper understanding and relationship with the natural world. Check the program calendar on the website for program information.
