Located along Lake Michigan, Woodland Dunes serves as an important stopover for migrating birds.
We safeguard 1,500 acres of precious habitat, including ridge & swale ecosystems which are only found in a few places in the world – designating portions of our property as globally significant.

Woodland Dunes offers year-round education opportunities for all ages. From guided walks on the trails, family and children’s programming and adult classes, our programs spark curiosity and cultivate a deeper understanding and relationship with the natural world.
