Woodland Dunes offers a variety of family programs throughout the year including when schools are on holiday/spring breaks. Family programs are fun and provide opportunity for everyone to learn about nature alongside our staff.

Regularly Offered Family Programs

Raising a Wild Child
Ages 2-5 yrs + an adult
Experience the wonder of nature with your wild child through hikes, play and guided activities. Help your little one notice the natural world and ignite their (and your) curiosity! This program is offered the second Thursday of each month and focuses on a different topic each time. Registration is required by the Monday before each session.

Wild Families
Ages 6-12 yrs + an adult
This monthly family program explores various nature topics through hands-on activities, crafts, games, and hikes! Best for ages 6-12 years, children must be accompanied by an adult. Some portions of the program will be led by staff while others will be for families to explore on their own. Dress for the weather – a majority of the program will take place outdoors.
Photo Policy: Woodland Dunes may take photos or video of participants in programs, activities or events. These photos may appear on our website, social media or used in presentations. If you or your family members do not wish to be photographed, please let a staff member know.
